I want to buy a laptop and my budget is nearly $900 I am looking for a good brand, but all seems to be nice. Could you suggest me which one would be better among Dell, compaq and lenovo and sony, coz these are among the most popular ones.

Hi, My Toshiba laptop Satellite 1135 although connected to power outlet, it show battery charge level going up & down between 0 - 100. One minute is at 100, then 10 minutes later it shows 0, while it is still connected to power outlet. This is not a big problem yet. But then after a few minutes at 0, it reboots. sometimes stays at 0 for the entire night and reboots every few minutes, again while connected to power. Any idea as what I should do to get a normal behavior?
Thanks, Ardela.

Hey ... same thing happening with me with my Toshiba Satellite. I put it in the shop, they took it apart, replaced some part having to do with the power (something needing soldering) and that didn’t help. They contacted Toshiba several times only to be told a rep would call them back. Shop thought the whole motherboard had to be replaced. I gave up at that point figuring it would be cheaper to buy a new laptop. Did you ever find out what the issue was?
