We don’t allow comment editing at Outdoorzy.com. Like Naveen, we feel that a comment is a representation of a members thoughts and feelings. If the person being commented about is offended or uneasy about the comment in any way they can always decline. We require each comment to be moderated (accepted/declined) which gives the profile owner the power to reject anything they don’t like.
As for mistakes and poor grammar, this is a fact of the web 2.0/social networking world. Anyone working within that world should understand that those things happen.
