I’m with rekha, don’t like it. I won’t stop there, didn’t like the first one either! this is a site for dumbdumb rich things/ideas/stuff and us who would like to be dumbdumb rich one day want to feel like that now! so, maybe some dark colours, burgendies, greys, even creams as backdrops and not this simple, bloggy white! and another thing, if you have time and money, you should take off anything that resembles a cartoon and find pretentious actors to pose for you .. just my thoughts :) I mean you asked and you got - doesn’t take away the fact that I go on this site EVERY day and live and breath rich stuff -

I think you should look at Luxist where you seem to steal most of your stories from. sometimes their stories are cheap but they have put a lot of thought and effort into their image. You obviously know the website as it is the major source of your stories but for those who are reading this and don’t know, I will put it here
http://www.luxist.com
Your new image looks like shit, the previous one looked cheap but it had the advantage of looking substantial. This one lacks the essential design qualities of the products that you write about.
I have some advice. Instead of asking your son or daughter or wife who just barely graduated from an online graphic design course, hire someone who can do the job properly.

We could have easily used jazzy colors, burgundies, grey, even creams or similar themes. But we wanted to highlight the content more than the design.
We have deliberately kept our design to be minimalist to get the focus on the content.
Anyways at Bornich, we love Luxist and its writers, and just few days ago, we have invited one of Editors from Luxist to be our Cool Geek of the Week. http://www.bornrich.org/entry/deidre-woollard-cool-geek-of-the-week/
So frankly speaking, Dilbert your allegation of stealing anything doesnt hold much water.

No, it’s not the question of using jazzy or loud colors here, the site is too bland, as much as we are here for the content, a bit of aesthetically pleasing visual appeal surely attracts!!!!
And i am sure the born rich will agree with me!!!!!

Do you cite your sources? If not you are misleading people into believing that you were the originator of the story. And if you don’t cite your sources you are plagiarizing or stealing. If you plagiarize with the complicity of the original source, it is still plagiarizing. Ergo I would say that even if it wasn’t technically theft there is still a degree of dishonesty when the story used is essentially the same story without any added value. Perhaps not stealing from the source but dishonest with regards to both your readers and advertisers who assume that you are the originators of your stories.
If you begin to cite your sources then there is no problem.

Yes, we cite all our sources. Check any of our post in the archives, and you will find that the sources are always cited and due credit is given to them.
Thanks for your suggestions and opinions.

Is it dat bad????
As far as i am concerned, i found it nice...The visual is cool and within the theme...
Moreover, an intelligent reader will surely focus on the content more then the visuals...
